The Faux Bobble Knit Hat is the perfect Fall Hat. The faux bobbles provide a nice thick hat to keep your little one (and you) warm. A cute pompom of your choice adorns the top of the hat. It’s sure to become your (and your little ones) favourite winter accessory.

You will need:

Needles
US 13 & US 15 Needles (16” circulars)
US 13 & US 15 DPNs (Double Pointed Needles)

Yarn
Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick & Quick (or any comparable yarn – #6 weight)
Approx. 35, 40, 45, 56, 67, 78, 84, 100 yds (32, 36, 40, 51, 61, 70, 76, 92 metres)
*If you’re making a yarn pompom, you will need more yarn.

Hat Sizes
Preemie, Newborn, 3-6 months, 6-12 months, Toddler, Child, Teen, Adult

Hat Circumference (unstretched)
11.5”, 12.25”, 13.25”, 14.25”, 15”, 16.5”, 18.5”, 19.5”.

Hat Circumference (stretched)
14”, 14.5”, 17”, 17.5”, 18”, 21”, 22”, 24”

Gauge:
4 sts and 8 rows = 1” (in pattern)

Note:
After you’ve joined your stitches in the round, use a stitch marker to mark the beginning of the round.
For the preemie and newborn sizes, you can start the hat on double-pointed needles. Then switch to the circular needles after the first 2 rows.
When decreasing, switch to the double pointed needles after the first decrease round.
The hats are shown here in faux fur pom- poms, however, you can use your preferred pompoms. Remember, you will need extra yarn if you’re making yarn pom poms.
The hat is meant to fit with very little stretch.
