Meet Elizabeth

Elizabeth Michelle Fernandes

I’ve been MIA for quite some time and I swear there’s a good reason. We had another baby. Our daughter, Elizabeth was born April 4th (at 4:14am (4 has got to be her lucky number)).

My pregnancy was terrible. I was nauseous and sick throughout all 9 months. I could barely stomach any food except for the Spicy Chorizo breakfast sandwich from Starbucks. It was the only thing I could eat in the morning and I ate it almost every day. The baristas came to know me and my husband very well. Unfortunately I was not one of those women who enjoy pregnancy (even with my son).

I also exclusively breastfeed Elizabeth. Breastfeeding is no joke. I didn’t produce enough breastmilk for my son so he was on formula after a few months. I always assumed breastfeeding was the easier option. Ohhh was I wrong. For the first 4.5 months I would sit on the couch for what felt like hours and all I would do is breastfeed. I felt like I was always feeding her. But now she’s gotten onto a routine and her feeds are must shorter so I’m finally starting to feel like my old self again.

This means I have some free time (does that even exist with kids) to get back to my much loved blog and my Etsy shop.
