Baby Shower

I’ve been somewhat busy this past week helping plan a baby shower for one of my hubby’s cousins. It’s the first baby between all of his cousins and everyone is uber excited. As usual I gave a knitted gift; the yellow baby blanket that I knit earlier this year. I have also been working on a knit pullover sweater but I’m having a hard time getting the collar to look right. Well this rant is for another post, when I finally finish the sweater.

So back to the baby shower, my sister in law is a baker and she made this gorgeous jungle themed cupcake display. Isn’t it lovely? Sometimes her sweets and desserts look so perfect that it feels almost wrong to eat it and destroy it. But then after you realize just how delicious it is you can’t put down your fork.

And of course the center pieces of this cupcake jungle must be a baby on a lily pad.

Oh, and I’ve forgotten the most important part. I made the palm trees. Haha. But all in all the baby shower was tons of fun. Can’t wait to finally meet him or her.
