I did it! I finally learnt crochet. I’ve wanted to for a while now, mostly so that I can adorn my knitted projects with cute crocheted embellishments. I took a crochet class through the local craft store (yes the one I work at).
I know the basics, which are the foundation row, chain stitch and single crochet. My tension is very tight but so was my knitting when I first started and that evened out with practice. The square created was about 3 inches by 6 inches. Now I’m itching to crochet something bigger, maybe a washcloth or something similar.
I’m now looking forward to learning more crochet techniques. And no I’m not turning my back on knitting.
