For The Home

Last week slipped away from me. I started reading the Hunger Games trilogy at the beginning of the week and next thing I knew it was Thursday and I was putting down the last book. I can’t quite put my finger on what has me obsessed with these books but at least now I can focus on something else. I had a few projects going before I started reading those books and on Friday I finally got back to them.

First, I finished the red cabled cup cozy. They are wider than I wanted but that’s an easy fix for the next one I knit. So pretty.

I also started knitting a pillow cover that I was able to finish fairly quickly (if you ignore the few days I lost reading :)). I love the way this pillow turned out. After I blocked the cover, the cables were less pronounce, and I would’ve preferred them to be “bubblier” if that makes sense.

I especially love the back with the buttons. They weren’tย necessary because I had overlapped the back edges by about 3 inches, so the back cover would have stayed closed. But I think the buttons add a finished touch.

I should have these patterns available shortly through Ravelry.
