WIPs and Banana Bread

I haven’t knitted too much since I finished the Entrelac Baby Blanket. I had let everything else fall to the side for this blanket including enormous amounts of housework. But slowly I’m getting back to my cleaning and knitting groove.

First I started knitting this cowl/infinity scarf. I love the simplicity of this 4 row repeat pattern; knit 3 rows, purl 1 row. I wasn’t planning on starting this projects, but the mittens were in a time out.

I’ve unraveled these mittens twice already and they needed a time out. The first time, I missed slipping a few stitches and since they are a gift I want them to be perfect. The second time I realized I had enough yarn to knit a longer cuff. I’m hoping that the 8 hour drive up north tomorrow will provide me with the time to finish this one and start the second one. I also need to knit a pair in a red/wine colour, also a gift.

I spent all day Wednesday baking and knitting. I only had about 30 minutes of knitting time before I had to go back to the kitchen to make my next batch of Banana Bread. I made 40 mini loaves for all of my hubby’s co-workers. I did this last year, and they loved it. All that’s pictured here is the first 12 that I made and packaged.
