Long Weekend

Happy Long Weekend to everyone!!! Today feels extra special because the weather is so gorgeous. Everybody is out and about, either cleaning their cars or playing in the park and taking their dogs for a walk. Just an awesome day!

I’ve been cleaning, getting ready for Easter Sunday with the in-laws. I dropped a 12 lb Turkey on my big toe yesterday, and it’s bruised and sore. It’s taking me twice as long to finish cleaning, so I haven’t had much time to knit. So here is what I have in progress now.

The cabled baby blanket is about 75% completed. I’ve been slowly working it and it’s taking forever because I only do a few rows every few days. I had hoped to finished this one quickly but that hasn’t been the case. I need to sit down one of these days and just work on it until it’s finished.

I love knitting dishcloths, so simple and quick to whip up. I knit a few of them earlier in the week, this one I was working on yesterday and will finish it tonight. And I’m loving this leafy green colour.

I finished this piece last weekend but haven’t had a chance to block it, take pictures and type out the pattern. It is a cowl that I designed. I should have used thicker yarn and larger needles to make it more cozy. I mean it’s comfy now and soft but it could be more soft. Am I just being too picky? Maybe but I like my winter knits to be as comfy as possible.

I have also been designing a pillow cover, for a decorative pillow. By next week I should have started the cover and will be able to show you some pictures.

Have a wonderful long weekend.

Happy Knitting,

Ashley
