Happy Anniversary

Yesterday my husband and I celebrated our first year anniversary. Yup, we are no longer newlyweds. My in-laws came over to celebrate, we had an awesome BBQ. Chicken, shrimp, short ribs, corn, garlic bread, and salad; all incredibly delicious. I most definitely ate too much but it was worth it. And the best part was a chocolate mousse cake. Oh chocolate, Oh cake, how I love thee!

On the knitting front, I’ve been trying to expand my skill set, or should I say learn a few new skills. I’ve made a few more of the baby hats and now I want to adorn or fancy them up with a cute design. So I’ve slowly been learning to embroider on knitting. It still looks quite pitiful as you can tell from the picture. I mean really, why did I try to begin with cursive looking letters? My capitol letters aren’t too bad, but they could definitely be better. And the arrow was made using the technique where you cover the entire stitch with the alternate colour. I think it looks messy and that I may be better off just knitting with 2 separate colours. What do you think?

Letter: a, e, h, d They all look a little sad, don't they?

Letters: r, m, k Slightly better but could still use some work!
